January has brought colder temperatures but we have gotten out a bit.
It has warmed up a bit.
It's funny how a bit of programming can change your impressions. The temps on the weekend of 1/22-1/23 were in the teens above zero. Everyone was itching to get out and ride including us. The statements heard most were, "it's warm out" or "it's beautiful". If anyone in New Orleans had said that with the temps in the teens, they would be admitted for a psyc evaluation.
Saturday the 22nd Patty and I did a bit of riding after turning my machine over twice just trying to get out of town (the plows had been pushing the snow out onto the frozen back bays and we were trying to cross these man made hazards). Anyway, we caught the tail end of a sled dog race in front of town and finally got to see caribou in the wild.
We had fun.
