Patty and I rode the 30 miles down to the Alyeska Ski resort the last Saturday we were in town.
There were some winter festival activities going on that weekend and we got to see figure skating and the "Polar Bear Plunge". The latter is when folks jump into a frozen pond through a hole that has been cut in the ice. The temps that day were right at zero and while we were waiting for the contestants the staff skimmed of the frozen surface ice. Within ten minutes the surface had a cover of ice that had reformed and had to be removed again before these folks took the plunge.
I have to say I have done some stupid things in my life but these folks top me by a mile.
