July has just started but it has been sunny and in the 50's and 60's. The wildflowers are out in abundance as are the mosquitoes. The cool breezes make the outdoors tolerable and the views are worth it.
We finally made it up the Noatak river in the community boat. We met Rob a friend of ours out in the sound and following him as he navigated via GPS, we entered and traveled up the Noatak. This is as wild a country as there is in America and although we did not catch any fish or see any animals, the experience had us in awe nevertheless.
