     Hey,

Just joking about the uppity (I think).

You are right; we still like it here although even adventure land has its ups and downs.  That's called life.  Don't forget we still work for a hospital and even though it is smaller than EJ it still has its hierarchies, cliques, gossip, and so on.  In some ways being smaller is worse because anything that happens,  the Arctic grape vine transmits it almost before it occurs, and I don't mean just in the hospital.  We all live together in hospital housing and in a town of 3000 people, word gets around.  HIPPA- it's almost impossible to enforce as everyone here is related in some kind of way.  Anyway it is so good to hear from you.  We have friends here but it always a treat to get an email from someone.  The first thing I do when I get up and the last thing I do at night is check my email and it is a disappointment to not get something.  They are getting fewer and farther between.   I have slowed down on writing the letters because I'm not sure if I am boring anyone. Yea, I'm whining, sorry.

Your adventure to the North shore is your life and to you it is as big a deal as us moving was and is to us, so enjoy it.  I am happy for you.  I am also interested in the haunted aspect too so keep me posted with a few details.

As far as moose and caribou-we have had a couple of barbeques with folks bringing marinated caribou and in the last couple of weeks I have fried some moose medallions, cooked a moose roast, and Patty did some stuffed bell peppers (1.69 each pepper on sale) with ground moose that had some beef fat added and it was all darned good.  I am hoping to go out with some guys on a hunt in another month or two after freeze up and hopefully will get some meat then.  It has a little richer flavor than beef but nothing like venison.  I do not like venison.

Well, winter arrived yesterday.  It has been raining for almost three weeks straight.  That light aggravating rain.  The predictions were for the same.  Yesterday we got up and it was white outside.  We had about three inches of snow. It softens everything and makes it so much more pleasing to the eye.  It cleared enough for us to take a slippery ride to one of the view points I like to go to and it is just beautiful.  Yea, I have found myself a spot about two miles out of town where I can sit on the tundra out of site of people while overlooking the beach, the sound, and the tundra while listening to the surf caressing the shore as I just watch the clouds or read a book.  This is how I deal with some of life's stressors now.  Of course with the snow and ice and with it is staying dark longer now It won't be and option long. It is dark now

 WE INTERRUPT THIS MESSAGE

As I was writing this I glanced outside to see if it was daylight yet at 950am and saw a red glow. I looked out and saw a beautiful horizon so I snapped a few pics and tried to get dressed to go out with the 4 wheeler and capture it-to late-the sun came up to fast.  And to add to it as I sat back down to finish writing the EMS radio went off with a request for an ambulance to pick up a female who took some pills.  Life goes on.  Beauty and the beast.

As I was saying it is dark now from about 730pm until 930 am with the temps in the upper 30's-low 40's during the day and low 30's at night.  And we are expecting a delivery of two snowmachines this week (this will make three as we have a used one already).

I'll end this now as my concentration is totally blown.  Again I am glad to hear from you and I am happy for you.  Come for a visit sometime, we would love to have you.  Let me know and we might have some ways of arranging a little cheaper ticket-that's all you would need.  Give me enough notice and we could spend some time in Anchorage together seeing Alaska.

Yes we still love it here but as I said-Beauty and the beast-this about sums it up.

                                                                                                                                                                     With love,
