I just had to add to what I wrote last night: 

      I went to bed about 10:30 pm with the weather conditions as I described in the last email.  I awoke at 2:30 am and all was quiet with the apartment still.   When I looked out, the wind had calmed and the snow had stopped.  This morning the dawn brought with it clear skies, a sliver of moon visible long after daylight, and a beautiful white rolling landscape.  The outside temp is right at 30 degrees and comfortable.   

     It is almost as if there was a cleansing of the old, with today heralding a new beginning..................just maybe the elders are right.
