    Hey,

I like the messages you leave on the web site, they are really appreciated.  I am also glad to see folks do visit the site.  I try to update it with new pics every week or two but some of the pics are of the same old things.  It is just to cold to carry the camera all the time and to cold to pull it out at opportune times.  When we were out taking pics yesterday (which I posted after your visit to the site I believe) I had the camera out for to long and it stopped working in the cold.  I have to keep it inside of my jacket next to my shirt when we go out or it won't work after about 10 mins.  Anything electronic does not last long the colder it gets.  This includes the batteries on the 4 wheelers.  At zero degrees it takes about a minute to start the 4 wheeler.  At 10 below it takes longer or it might not start at all as the battery goes flat.  When the temp goes back up though it comes right back on it's own.  So, even emergency electronics such as satellite phones, gps, flashlights-anything powered by batteries-has to be kept warm somehow.  Anyway, when you post a message on the website you just hit enter once.  If you want to view the message right away go to the top and hit the refresh button.  It should look like a tiny page with an arrow or two in it pointing in a circular direction. Just click on it and the page will reload and your message should be visible.  Oh, and yes it makes sense that we feel closer.  It is like the few family we have left down there.  We communicate more now than we did when we were just a few miles versus thousands of miles apart.  As for the ex house, we keep in touch with a former neighbor by email too.  He told me the new owner cut down all of the trees, even the oak I gave Patty on our anniversary years ago and the sweet olive we planted from a sprig the year we moved in that grew into a beautiful tree.  It kind of hurt just like when we found out Snowball, our old dog had passed away.  But I guess that is part of moving on in life-things change and will continue to change  Ah well, enough of the melancholy.

Hope all is well way down there.  We are doing fine up here and again it is good to hear from you.

                                                                                            Carlo, Patty, Christy, and Cathy
